these stories makes me sad(this one is from aol news):

Katie Piper was an aspiring model with a promising future, but all of that changed in one tragic instant when a man -- hired by her former boyfriend -- threw sulfuric acid in her face. "This is when my life changed completely, forever…" the now 26-year-old told ABC's 20/20 in an interview. "This is when I lost my beautiful face."
Raised in the small town of Andover, Hampshire in England, Piper moved to London when she was 22 years old to pursue a career in media. Within months she had jobs as a model and as a host on a shopping channel -- all stepping stones to her ultimate dream.
In March 2008, she told her family there was a new man in her life. "She texted... 'I've met a new guy. His name is Danny and I'm really happy,'" Piper's younger sister, Suzy, told 20/20.
The new man was 32-year-old Danny Lynch, a martial arts enthusiast who first contacted her through Facebook. But just weeks after the two first met, Lynch beat and raped her in a hotel, The Daily Mail reported. Piper didn't go to the police or tell anyone about the brutal incident for fear that he would kill her.
Lynch bombarded Piper with messages after the assault, and eventually, she agreed to go to an Internet café to read a message he had posted to her on Facebook. She was leaving the café when Stefan Sylvestre, hired by Lynch, approached her with a coffee cup and threw its contents on her face. The attack was caught on security cameras.

i didnt get to see her interview on 20/20, but i hope this woman gets what she deserves.. and honestly, she's still VERY beautiful..

from jacksonville news:
Playboy Model's Burned Body Found In Trash

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. -- Police are still searching for answers after the body of a missing tourist was discovered burned beyond recognition in a North Miami trash bin on Sunday.

North Miami police said the woman was identified through dental records as 26-year-old Paula Sladewski.

Sladewski, appeared in Playboy magazine and the 2003 movie, "Playboy: The Ultimate Playmate Search."

North Miami police said Sladewski, an aspiring model from Michigan, had come to South Beach with her boyfriend, 34-year-old Kevin Klym, on New Year's Eve.

Sladewski and Klym went to Club Space in downtown Miami on Saturday night. Police said Klym told investigators he left Sladewski at the club at 7 a.m. after they had some sort of discussion, possibly an argument. Klym said he took a taxi back to their Miami Beach hotel. It was the last time Sladewski was seen alive.

Workers from the club who did not want to be identified told WPLG-TV that they remembered the boyfriend leaving and the model walking out of the club "hand-in-hand" with someone else.

At about 9 p.m. Sunday, someone reported a fire burning in a Dumpster behind a propane tank business in the 1400 block of Northeast 130th Street. When Miami-Dade firefighters put out the flames, they discovered the body, which was later identified as Sladewski.

Klym filed a missing persons report Monday morning after calling several hospitals, jails and the medical examiner's office, police said.

"When she didn't return to the hotel room is when he started to inquire and make phone calls. He reported her missing, and once he contacted the (medical examiner's) office, we started to get to the bottom of her identity," Cuevas said.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of Sladewski's death.

Klym has not been identified as a suspect, but he has been ordered to stay in Miami until the investigation is complete.

Patsy Watkins, Sladewski's mother, said she knows Klym well.

"I just needed to know why. Why did you leave my baby? And he couldn't answer me. He said he doesn't know and that he was sorry," Watkins said.

The couple had been dating for more than a year, and they lived together in both Michigan and California.

"I'm angry. I lost my baby," Watkins said. "They've got to find who did this to my baby."

Family members said Sladewski and Klym had a volatile relationship. Domestic violence charges were filed against Sladewski in June. Klym's lawyer said Sladewski attacked his client.

Other members of Sladewski's family spoke to the media in South Florida on Wednesday.

"She lived between Michigan and California," said Kelly Farris, Sladewski's sister. "She loved life. She was full of life."

Klym's attorney claimed his client is completely innocent and is considering conducting a polygraph test to clear his name.

Meanwhile, family members are making final arrangements for a closed-casket funeral.

"It's just surreal. I can't even imagine anything like this happening. We can't even give her an open casket. We can't even see her again," Farris said.

Investigators are trying to gather surveillance videos from businesses near Club Space in the hope of turning up clues.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).
