G-Dragon.. is going to jail?!??!!??! noooo!

"It looks like Big Bang’s leader G-Dragon will finally be paying the consequences of his performance at his first solo concert last year.

Last year at his Shine A Light concert, G-Dragon performed as planned but spiced up his stages as he dry-humped Aimee Lee Lucas on a stand-up bed and sang two songs that were strictly forbidden to be heard by minors. Not only that but the concert did not have a higher age restriction at 19+. Instead, anyone over 12 was allowed to attend. After a dark forecast, it looks like YG Entertainment’s apology won’t get G-Dragon away scot-free, because investigations are currently underway.

If you recall, G-Dragon’s first solo album “Heartbreaker” was slapped with a big fat age restriction of 19+. His songs She’s Gone and Korean Dream were prohibited from being aired on television past 10PM and also be unavailable for purchase to minors.

The Eastern Seoul District Prosecutor stated, “The investigation is in the stage of collecting and reviewing all the data we have on the case. G-Dragon’s summoning is still pending but will be decided shortly.

If G-Dragon fails to win his case he’ll have to pay up to at least a $5,000 fine and serve at least a year in prison. A YGE representative said, “YG will aid the case in this investigation and will handle it on behalf of G-Dragon. However, we will accept the the decision and take upon full responsibility of any legal actions.” Hopefully they can get him off the hook!

Looks like things are heating up for Korea’s most prominent talent. G-Dragon definitely did break some rules but does the punishment fit the crime? "

AND THIS

"Officials are saying that G-Dragon’s music and other content will be under investigation and currently isn’t sure how the results will pan out. But if the court rules it against his favor, G-Dragon’s work could be prohibited from the Korean public and his albums could no longer be available for purchase for anyone. If convicted, he also may have to pay some hefty fines (almost $200,000). The album already has an R rating but in the Health and Welfare committee’s eyes, it’s getting out of hand as young kids are still listening and getting their hands on the album.

This sort of reminds me of what America went through in the late 80’s and early 90’s with the emergence of Gangsta Rap. Government officials, left wing and right wing commentators, and many others did whatever they could to block the material from reaching America’s youth, but with all the controversy it just made the genre even more popular. It seems like Korea is going through this transition phase at the moment. I’m curious though, if G-Dragon really does get banned, how do you think fans will react? After all we have seen them do some pretty incredible things…"

honestly, this very harsh.. i mean i find it not fair that this sort of thing is taken soo seriously.

number one:
yeah, maybe that concert wasn't restricted for kids, but if he wants to perform an "act" thats part of the song he's singing, then let it be. lee hyori and koda kumi are notorious for doing this on stage and/or their music videos, why didnt they get charged, besides hyori's earlier songs were controversial to be seen on tv? i mean wtf man? this dosent even seem like a horrible thing.

number two:
they shouldn't be banning him...its not like these kids will not stop listening to his music, there are plenty of websites where kids can illegally download songs...if that is happening, oh well! i would do the same thing. and i think its funny that their trying to ban americans from listening to his music? umm..american music is WORSE than these soo called inapropriate songs...they allow girls to dance erotically on stage and in music videos, and we're not doing SHIT about it...

number three
on the whole plagurizing scandal, well i listen to his songs,NEVER DID IT CROSS MY MIND THAT "HEARTBREAKER" AND "BUTTERFLY" WERE COPIED FROM FLOR-RIDA AND OASIS.. idk if that letter that YG entertainment recieved was legit on the behalf of copying american songs.. i mean that's like saying ayumi hamasaki is trying to be lady gaga, which is false people, give it a fucking rest..

leave the poor man alone. they're a petition on behalf of this scandal. if you wanna sign it:
go on yahoo
type in "gd petition" or something like that..
and walla, read it sign it, and pray that GD dosen't go to jail.
