i usually hate sundays..but this day was different: i watched two movies, Requiem, and Quarantine(which i've seen like six times)with my sister ^_^
i should make a list of movies i like..im not going to post youtube clips, because that cheating. actually i dont think one of these movies will be on youtube anyways.
Ondskan(2003)
in ondskan(swedish for evil).. a young teen attends a new school, a private boarding school for boys, due to violence at his other school. at this new school, he is treated like shit: the teachers mistreat the lowerclassmen and upperclassmen have autority over the other students. the new kid(or underclassmen) must follow their rules...or else. basically the violence is done by the upperclassmen to control the students...um..he becomes friends with some nerd boy who leaves the school due to the buillying.
watching this movie pissed me off though. i cannot imagine a school being run like this. i would rather die that get bullied by other kids. i believe this movie is on youtube.
Jungle fever(1991)
a spike lee film, a married, young black man falls in love with a white woman, and how muntiracial relationships affect people, i guess. its a comedy film too..filled with many sterotypes.
The Hand That Rocks the Cradile(mid 90's)
hahaha this film is gold... basically its aboout a baren woman that goes crazy after her husband's suicide and (disguised as a nanny) tried to kill a woman who accused her husband of molestation(he was a doctor)
fatal attraction(late 80's)
a married lawyer begins a short affair with a woman he met at a party. after the guy breaks up with her, she goes crazy..

i dont remember what this movies about.. but it had to do with a boy becoming friends with kids that dont like him, resulting in his death.

paperhouse(1988)
a really cute movie about a young girl who becomes ill after her birthday. while she's ill she draws a house that she visits in her dreams. in her dreams, she becomes friends with a boy named mark who(in the real world) is also ill, but dying and unable to walk.
30 days of night(2007)
the townspeople in alaska are preparing for a 30 day long darkness(called polar night). but during those 30 days, vampires appear and kill the remaining townsfolk. its up to the survivers to save their city.
i have to say, this movie was pretty scary, one of the best vampire films ever!
28 weeks later(2006)
do not watch this film when you're drunk, high or w/e. this has got the be the SCARIEST FILM I'VE EVER SEEN.
its the sequel to 28 days later. after the virus died out in Great Britain, a man becomes affected by his wife who's immune to the disease and won't develop zombie like symptoms. if you watch the beginning of this film, you'll shit your pants. oh yeah, dont watch this film at night like i did, i couldnt sleep at all.
rec(2007)
a reporter from a talk show, along w/ pablo the cameraman, are covering a night shift at a barcelona fire dept. they recieve an emergency call to help an old woman. however, the women is affected with rabies and begins to affect the others trapt in the apt. complex. the american remake of this film is Quarantine.
the babysitters(2007)
a high school senior turns her babysitting job into a call girl service for married men. and she falls in love with one of her customers.
i thought this movie was hilarious.. esp the "do you wanna do it in the car, or on grass" scene.
the quiet(2005)
after her fathers death, a deaf teen is adopted by a dysfunctional family. her new sister is having an incestous affair with her father and the mother pops pills. this movie was cool..kinda lame, but funny..

a married new york woman begins a passionate affair with a frenchmen... when her husband learns of this infidelity.. he secretly travels to SoHo and (in a fit of rage)kills her lover.
Dangerous Liaisons(80's)
two ex -lovers use sex to humiliate others: valmont makes a deal with merteuil to seduce a 15-year old girl in order for them to have sex. but valmont later falls in love w/ a married woman and creates a plan that could destroy merteuil's reputation. such a good film, i love french stories.. i want to read this book soo badly.
species(mid 90's)
an origization(SETI) recieves alien transmissons on how to make a human-alien hybrid. they create a girl named sil who's unusual sleeping patterns cause the originization to kill her. she also grows very fast, becoming a 12 year old girl within three months. but as she's getting gassed, she escapes an eventually settles in california ,all grown up and looking for a mate. SETI must track sil down before she succesfully becomes pregnant with kids that could destroy the world.
i dont know why people thought Splice was a remake of species... its really not if you watch this film.
i guess thats all i could think off.
