One of the world’s fastest-rising supermodels, Esti Ginzburg has appeared in high-profile campaigns for Burberry, FCUK and Tommy Hilfiger.
Esti began her modeling career at age 8 with a milk ad and by the age of 14, she already had signed with Elite Models to finally feature in the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition. Despite her considerable success as a model, this Israeli eye-catcher will make her debut in the 2010 Joel Schumacher film Twelve as an actress, which also stars Kiefer Sutherland.
Our stunning model of the month has already climbed the top of the IFDAQ and we are certain that she's soon going to hit the top50.
How did you get started in the modeling business?
Esti: I just walked into a modeling agency in Israel and they took me right away.
Did you ever think you'd be doing this?
Esti: Not really, but I always thought it‘s cool to be a model.
What do you like most about modeling? What do you like least?
Esti: The things I like most are the amazing places I get to see and the cool people I get to meet but the thing I like least is being away from my family and friends for long.
Have you encountered any surprises along the way?
Esti: How many different cultures and dresses exist in the world.
What has been your most awkward moment (of your modelling career)?
Esti: I started off at the age of 14. At that time I had no clue what I was doing and felt pretty insecure.
Have you developed any new interests since you started modelling?
Esti: I started acting lately and I just love it!
What are your favourite things to do in your free time?
Esti: Being with the people I really love, being at the beach and watching movies.
Out of all the places your career has taken you, where was the most memorable?
Esti: I was in India this year and it‘s the most different out of all countries in every way - from the mentality to the way they dress. I definitely want to go back again!
Do you have a mentor? Who? What is it about them that affects you? Why?
Esti: I don‘t have a mentor but I look up to my mom, because she is a strong woman who always seems to get it together and find a solution.
Where do you see yourself in ten years? What could be your next career?
Esti: I have absolutely no idea where I‘m going to be in 10 years.. but it would be amazing if I was a big actress doing what I love.
What are your best beauty secrets? How do you stay in shape?
Esti: My beauty secrets aren‘t such a secret. I try make sure that I sleep enough and drink lots of water. Not very creative but I promise it works.
What would you want people to know about you?
Esti: That I am pretty spontaneous and outgoing and that I am always up for an adventure.
Any advice for new models? What advice would you give other models starting out?
Esti: Just be yourself and do not change for anyone. Always remember where you came from and who has always been there for you.
